City of Asylum

While the Director of Programs at City of Asylum, I was the acting in-house designer for four months for 60+ free literary, music, and humanities programs while the organization was without a marketer and graphic designer. I designed social media graphics, posters, postcards, bookmarks, graphics for MailChimp emails, website graphics, and more. I also wrote copy for marketing emails, social media, press releases, and web.
Pittsburgh Youth Chorus

As the Director of Marketing & Development at the Pittsburgh Youth Chorus, I was responsible for writing and designing all collateral for the organization. I rebranded the organization and did an entire website design, moving the organization from WordPress to Squarespace. I designed posters, postcards, brochures, program books, social media graphics, reports, and more. I wrote all copy on print and digital materials, press releases, emails, and more.

During my online MLIS studies at Simmons University, I designed several examples of resources that might be used by library patrons. This included white papers, resource sheets, pathfinders, discussion guides, program proposals, annual reports, and more. The content for some of these resources was developed with fellow students, but I was the sole designer for all of the projects.
Teen Programs
2020-2022 | Pittsburgh, PA and remote
I advised groups of teens in the creation of two teen-led literature projects: Bridges & Books and PA Reads YA. Both projects were designed to amplify teen voices within the publishing industry and promote diverse literature. The artwork for both organizations was created by Pittsburgh teen artist Inyaa Ashok. Along with the teens, I developed brand guidelines and graphics using Inyaa’s artwork for the website, social media, and podcast episode cover art.
